INDO NEPAL BORDER AT BANBASA

Banbasa is a census town in Champawat district. Banbasa is located about 80 km from Champawat and 10 km from Tanakpur. Banbasa is most famous for its border crossing into Nepal from India and Banbasa Barrage. Banbasa Barrage or Banbasa range is a barrage built on the river Sharda bordering Nepal with striking views of the lake and canals formed by it. Visitors and passing tourists can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the waterbodies formed due to the barrage. A park is located here that has become a go to picnic spot for tourists. Nepal border is 5 km from Banbasa. Tourists who come here also visit the border crossing with Nepal.
