The first-ever #ASTROWEEK in Champawat, held from May 16th to May 18th, 2023, was an incredible experience, blending the beauty of astrophotography, nature and landscape photography, and bird photography. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Abbott Mount in Lohaghat, Champawat, this exclusive workshop, sponsored by the District Tourism Department, offered a unique platform for enthusiasts to explore the wonders of the sky and nature.
The 3-day and 3-night event brought together passionate photographers and nature lovers, under the expert guidance of renowned mentors in astrophotography and wildlife photography. From capturing celestial wonders in the pristine night skies to exploring the diverse birdlife and scenic landscapes, #ASTROWEEK showcased Champawat as a hidden gem for niche tourism.
The limited-seats workshop saw enthusiastic participation, and while registrations were closed early due to high demand, we are thrilled to announce the possibility of organizing a similar event next year, thanks to the overwhelming response.
